A hidden gem!Irene is an excellent host. She has a wealth of information on the area (sights, restaurants and activities) The full breakfast is delicious! The dining room looks out to the pool area where numerous bird/hummingbird feeders are located. We stayed in Law, a nice room with a king size bed and electric fireplace which gave off nice heat. The Inn is part of Select Registry so you know they meet high standards for their clients. This is our go to place when we want to relax and recharge. We’ve been coming to this Inn for over 15 yrs under various innkeepers.

Our family had a wonderful much-needed mid-week escape from the city after a chaotic holiday season. Irene is a remarkable and impressive host, and her warm passion for her work, community, and people showed in every corner of the house. We had such a comfortable, at-home experience in our room, at the breakfast, by the fireplace, in the living room, everywhere we turned. The cherry on top was seeing our teen with the biggest grin on her face enjoying her breakfast everyday there (and they were delicious!). We look forward to returning for another healing retreat from our busy daily routine.

Where to start with this review ???? Maybe the beautiful grounds...maybe our room with the double sided fireplace to be enjoyed in our room and the bathtub ( of course with a glass of wine).....or the balcony with 2 chairs to sit and listen to the birds.....or maybe the breakfast ( not counting the calories in all that deliciousness). Maybe the inviting sitting room in the main community area. ( we relaxed in those comfy chairs and played a game). No....I think my favorite part was Irene , the innkeeper, and the way she makes strangers feel like friends. We can't wait to go back!!

Wonderful experience. My husband and I stayed at the Ampersand Inn to celebrate our anniversary. As soon as you pull into the driveway you are immediately impressed with the beautiful grounds and how well maintained they are. Irene the owner is just a delight. She is so friendly and helpful that she makes you feel right at home.The Inn is lovely, the rooms are beautifully decorated and it is immaculate. In the morning there was a delicious breakfast and conversation with Irene, Alethia who cooked and served the breakfast and with some other guests.I highly recommend the Ampersand Inn. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed for an overnight to celebrate my birthday and we had a very nice experience. Our room had a beautiful fireplace and I especially loved the Christmas lights that went all the way around the top of the room to complete the ambiance. Breakfast was delicious and Irene and her team successfully accommodated my dairy free needs. Can't wait to stay again!

We loved it!! A simply wonderful retreat. We stayed here when we attended the Peter's Valley Crafts Fair. The innkeeper, Irene, is a most gracious host. Incredible attention to detail is paid in every way. Beautiful secluded setting amidst the trees yet not far from restaurants. Lots of very comfy sitting areas for chatting, reading or sipping coffee or tea (always on tap.). We will be back!

This is one of our favorite places to unwind. Irene and her staff make us feel so welcomed. My fiancé and I have been going for three years. We love the Zorn and Revesz Rooms. The breakfasts are amazing. During the summer we enjoy sitting by and swimming in the pool while taking in the beautiful grounds. I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfection! Truly a privilege and utter pleasure to have stayed here for a few nights. Accommodations were fantastic…BUT the greatest aspect was Irene! Smitten with her. She so genuinely cared for us and embraced all of us, young to old (me), as family. This place is great now and Irene has a greater vision for her guests in the future. WHEN you visit, tell her hello and thanks from her admirers.

Awesome Stay! From the time we walked into the time we walked out this place and our host Irene was perfect. The attention to detail was magnificent in each room and the amenities were top notch. The area also has great places to dine, and Irene has them all mapped out for you. If you like B&B’s, you will love this one. PS…summer looks even better with a in ground pool for the guest to use. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful weekend!!! The owner and staff are amazing. Very friendly. The rooms are lovely with fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs and robes!!!!! and the breakfast is so delicious. There is hiking nearby and antiquing. Highly recommend if you want to unplug and relax!!!!!

A Great Spot for a getaway!!! Our time at the Wooden Duck exceeded all our expectations. From the clean spacious rooms to the beautifully decorated Inn, this Inn is is a peaceful location to unwind & relax. Our Innkeeper Irene was the BEST B&B host we have ever encountered. She made us feel like we were a welcome guest in her home. The breakfasts & warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening were a delicious treat. If you are in the area, you must stay here!!!

Loved the personal attention and charming, spacious rooms Irene's personal touch at the Wooden Duck will always be remembered by my family. We will recommend this charming, spacious Inn to our friends on their trips. We especially loved our breakfast with the peach desert.

Lovely Couples Retreat! This inn is gorgeous, spacious, immaculate, and charming. Irene makes you feel like family and does not miss any details in caring so well for her guests. She also recommended great places for lunch, dinner and plenty of activity options very close by . We truly enjoyed every moment and were sad to go! The breakfasts were wonderful, and I even got to bring a recipe home with me. My husband and i look forward to returning.

Enchanting retreat. The property is so inviting. You are surrounded by forest, abundant flowers and lovely landscaping. Creates a very peaceful environment. Love the pool area. Inside main area is a series of open rooms where you can relax with friends or a book. We stayed in a lovely upstairs room with a sitting area that included a fireplace and tv. Beautifully furnished and comfortable. Irene is such an engaging hostess from the lovely breakfasts to surprise cookies in the evening. We cannot wait to return.

Peaceful, relaxing, great location. Recently stayed at the Wooden Duck, and enjoyed our visit. Irene is flexible, accommodating, and goes out of her way to make her guests feel welcome. The grounds are relaxing and serene, and there is a hiking trail that leaves from the property and links into the Kittatinny Valley state park trail system. Local restaurants are excellent, and one could spend several days visiting the various lakes in the region. Hopefully we will be back.

Great Place to Rest Irene was a terrific hostess. She was engaging and interesting. We had a very nice conversation about her vision for the B&B. The facilities were outstanding and there was sense of peace and harmony that appeared to match her vision.

Quiet getaway This is my 4th time visiting. The B&B is lovely, beautiful, and clean. The owner, Irene, and staff are so welcoming and attentive! Rooms are big with great views of the grounds. Absolutely nothing negative to report.
